Dancing in the Rain - Haiti Finale

I greet you here from Haiti one final time. What a crazy week it has been. I rejoice in great expectation of hope of the seeds planted in the barren ground here. Haiti has endured great hardship, and yet this week in Carrefour light was shining into the darkness. Romans 12:11-12 says, “11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.” I feel this verse has defined our journey in Haiti as we’ve been intentional, diligent, fervent, patient, and steadfast in prayer for this nation.

During the morning we were able to visit and minister at one of the churches that were part of our journey here in February. The people were excited to see us again as we ministered hope to them. Joshua told some powerful stories, before I prayed over the people and prayed for blessing.

As we arrived at the field in the evening, we were very excited to see the largest gathering of the week. Word had been getting around about all that God was doing. The people were hungry! And then it happened again…the rains came down in a very intense thunderstorm that lasted for more than an hour straight. As we prayed and were deciding how to proceed, something powerful happened. A large majority of the people stayed! Some pulled out umbrellas, others held chairs over their heads, and the people continued to dance and sing as our team led a time of worship before the preaching.

I decided to weave in the testimony of a local music artist into my Gospel message to engage those who were there in the rain. The Holy Spirit poured out upon the people, and the rain stopped as soon as I started preaching! Hallelujah! There was a strong presence of the Lord, and nearly all who were there responded to Jesus! We also prayed for healing and the Lord moved in healing power as well!

As I reflect on our time here, the warfare was real, the attacks continued to come, and they came from every direction. From avoiding near disasters with gangs, corruption by government and police officials, opposing denominational pastors blockading the road in protest, getting a flat tire, unexpected costs, the constant weather challenges, witches trying to cast spells on us, and so much more, I feel that this week was a WIN. It was a win because we were diligent, fervent in spirit, served the Lord well, rejoiced in hope, were patient in tribulation, and continued steadfastly in prayer (Romans 12:11-12).

Witches repented and came to Jesus,  many came to the Lord in salvation, hope for revival filled the hearts of those who came, pastors are ready to disciple with a newfound impartation of authority, and the labor will bring great reward! In spite of all the challenges, the name of Jesus was lifted high over this region, and the darkness here was put on notice with new believers in Christ that are ready to live for Jesus!

THANK YOU FOR SENDING US TO HAITI! WE WERE ABLE TO BE THE HANDS AND FEET OF YOUR GENEROSITY AND PRAYER. WE DON’T TAKE IT LIGHTLY. WE ARE HONORED TO PARTNER WITH YOU!
