Tanzania Night 4 - The Victory Belongs to the Lord!
Greetings from Tanzania for the final day of our Gospel campaign here.
For those of you following our journey, it’s been riddled with natural barriers from our flights being delayed which turned into a journey that took place over 4 days, arriving just an hour before the crusade started. The lack of sleep and strenuous travel put everything into the Lord’s strength out of our weakness. Also, none of our suitcases for Harmonee, Elisha, or I, made it to Tanzania. The A/C also was not working all week, and the combination of all of these things in an interesting place!
I am excited to report to you, that the suitcases arrived to us just before our final service began! And for the first time all week, the A/C worked. Hallelujah! I personally got my first full night of sleep since travel began, and it could not have come at a better time for our grand finale crusade service. Thank you for your prayers for this. They made the difference!
As we pulled up to the crusade, it was clearly the most largely attended meeting of the week. The anticipation was high, and the people were clearly ready to encounter Jesus! Word had spread throughout the week of all of the testimonies that had already happened. Announcements had been made on the radio of the bike give-a-ways we were doing for the children, and local television also decided to carry the crusade service live across the country.
After praise was lifted up, I immediately started preaching the Gospel. The people were so hungry. I could feel it in the atmosphere. I preached a clear message about the power of who Jesus was, and how He is the only way to salvation. As I gave the call for salvation most of the field stood to their feet. I led them in a prayer for salvation before spending an extended time focusing on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as well. All across the field people were deeply encountering the presence of God, many were filled with the Spirit, and healing began to break out all over the field!
While many were healed of back pain, shoulder pain, eye problems, and so much more, I wanted to highlight a story that touched my heart. A nine-year old boy who hadn’t walked in over a year due to paralysis on the right side of his body stood to his feet during the prayer. He hadn’t done that since the paralysis set in. The mother couldn’t believe it. She then urged him to take a few steps, and he did! The boy was instantly healed. The crowd rejoiced as he walked on the platform to confirm the healing!
This week has been so challenging, and yet so rewarding. Thousands of people were deeply impacted, along with the hundreds of Pastors who are now ready to carry on the work of discipleship with renewed vision and vigor. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sending us here. Four years ago, the Lord put this area onto my heart and for a variety of reasons we had been unable to come.
As I reflect, now that it has happened, we had to really fight through issue, after delay, and natural barrier. The intercession was intense. The spiritual warfare was real. The victory was sweet! There is more to come here. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! The Lord is so good.
