Tanzania Night 2 - Get Out Devil!
I’ve just returned to my room after an EXPLOSIVE evening crusade service. I’m sitting here and reflecting on a day that truly blew my natural mind and excited my spirit!
During the morning pastors conference, the Holy Spirit took control of the two sessions. I had planned to go a specific direction, and then those plans were quickly altered. A deep repentance fell over the Pastors as many were crying out to God. Some were sobbing before the Lord. The interpreter told me that the message deeply impacted the leaders as they were busy dealing with their own hearts and were incredibly challenged. For about 30 minutes people cried out to God before we started the second session. I then ministered a prophetic word to them about walking into the dreams God has placed in their hearts for their lives, ministries, villages, and world. I talked about the power of God redeeming mistakes and the power of the blood. At the very end we blessed all the leaders with a copy of my book in Swahili which was the very time my book has been put into this language. They were very grateful, and we had to stop them from taking more than one. I guess they were hungry!
As we headed towards the evening crusade there was high expectations. The Lord had spoken to me that it would a night of letting go of the past and committing the future into the Lord’s hands. I preached out of John chapter 8 and the story of the adulterous woman, and there was a palpable sense of the presence of the Lord. I gave the call for salvation and there was a great response!
Before moving into the prayer for the sick I had felt that we were supposed to get a “burn barrel” which people could use to throw away all their charms, amulets, fetishes, vices, drugs, addiction representations and much more. It was a symbolic representation of laying things down on the altar and allowing the fire of the Lord to burn up all the things representing the past. Some began to head towards the barrel and throw things in for the celebration to come.
As I moved to pray for the sick, I felt very intentionally that we were to pray for those with tumors and those with dear ears. I invited everyone with these specific conditions to the front. What happened next was astounding. Nearly every person who came forward with one of these two conditions was healed. In fact, some even began to manifest evil spirits and deliverance began on the spot. Our entire team from the USA and local pastors who were part of the morning pastor conference all began to minister to each of these individuals. It was also special for Harmonee and I to see our son right in the middle of all of the prayers for healing, and even the deliverance ministry where he was declaring, “Get out Devil.” Later in the evening after we got back to the hotel he called his younger sister and was telling her how the devil was trying to stay inside of people, and how we were telling him that he had to go now.
After hearing more than a dozen testimonies of tumors vanishing and deaf ears opening, we then gathered around the burn barrel and the praise party began. The Tanzanians began to dance and shout in victory! We all began to wave “ bye-bye” to the past!
We then quickly gathered once more and blessed all of those who came with my Hunger book in the language of Swahili. In order to make this happen for this crusade, the discipleship resources had to be printed at a shop that was a 16 hour drive away. It was then delivered in segments over the last week as the books became available. What a special moment it was as the people were very blessed by this!
We have more to come over the next two days! Please continue to pray for us, as our luggage continues to be lost somewhere in the world and it’s definitely making things interesting.
I’m in awe as I think of all the Lord has done. There’s more to come!
