South Asia Crusade – Hindu Mob Transformed
Greetings from South Asia. After days of travel and ministry in two villages with the initiation of our water wells here, we were excited to kick off the crusade here!
In the morning Pastors conference members of our team shared their testimonies which were remarkable. Several pastors were deeply impacted as the services went “off-script” and the Holy Spirit took over. I was also happy to impart a message on intimacy to the leaders here. And our own Joshua Smith also ministered a word to the leaders as well.
As we entered into the evening crusade, the political protests in the area caused a tremendous problem as more than 240 vehicles and buses were diverted from the main ground. One of the neat things about this crusade, is that we set up more than 30 villages with giant screens which allowed villages unable to transport to receive the message of Jesus. Often we send buses to areas to bring the people to the Gospel, but here we were also able to bring the Gospel directly into their villages since the buses would not have been able to contain the amount of people attending from the village.
We heard many testimonies. Here are just a few of them:
Lakshmi said, “I have seen the television advertisement about this good news and contacted the number they gave and some pastors came to our village and took us to the crusade. We came to the crusade and we have seen face to face are so happy to know about Jesus in our lives. We came as 15 women in our area in the truck and 2 of us were healed of incurable diseases. We all gave our lives to Jesus. We are so happy now, but we are living in a tribal area where we have no church, please pray for us so that we get a church here.
Salle said, “We’re very happy to present our group testimony. We have seen a screen in the village we thought to cancel the meeting because it is about Jesus. We are a Hindu mob. But when we saw you preaching in a big ground there and there were two questions about hell and heaven, then we were curious to hear the message. For the first time we understood about Jesus. Jesus is the living God. We are radical Hindu mob, and we as a group of 11 people gave our lives to Jesus. We also came on the third day and met your team and gave this witness. And we need 5000 bibles as we always go to mobs so we will tell them about Jesus. And our testimony would touch them. Please help us. And we pray to get a church in our area. Thank you for giving us the Hunger book and Bibles.
I am working in a Hindu temple as a sweeper, and also, I am suffering from arthritis and could not sleep at all, but I came to this crusade through my friend. I came to know about Jesus for the first time in my life and after that I am healed after you prayed about the healing. I could not come to the stage because of my profession in the temple. But now I resigned the job and now have no job and I am praying…
As I read these testimonies I began to weep, thinking of the goodness of our great God! There’s more to come from South Asia!
