Warfare in Haiti - Night 1
The rains came and flooded the area surrounding the stadium. A couple thousand people scattered for the exits, and the storm continued to rage as we pulled up to the field. As we arrived, the electricity in the stadium went out, and we could hardly see beyond a few feet from the stage as everyone was in darkness. The stage lights remained on as they were run by generators, and a few hundred people remained scattered throughout the field and the stands.
This was our welcome to the first night of the crusade. As I’ve ministered one on one in living rooms across the world, and also seen hundreds of thousands of people come to Christ in mass open-air gospel campaigns in Asia, we have come to expect anything and everything. Spiritual warfare is a part of the deal when you preach the Gospel. Demons wage warfare, and believers pray and rebuke the enemy. Jesus always gets the victory, and sometimes things look and feel differently than we expect in the natural. This is what the war for the souls of men looks like! We are waging war against the unseen realm.
I ministered the Gospel to those who gathered, the rain did stop as I ministered, and people heard the life changing message of Jesus. I felt the Lord gave me a prophetic message that I ministered to break the atmosphere over the region. As I ministered, I felt the Lord’s great love for the people. Nearly all who remained responded to Jesus, and healings took place as well! As soon as I finished preaching and began laying hands on the sick, the rains started again. People testified of healings in the back, shoulder, and stomach areas. Praise the Lord! The crusade was also broadcasted live on television and radio throughout multiple French speaking nations (this is a first for me, seeing the Gospel go to French speaking audiences across the world). We are excited to see how the Lord will use media as well!
We are asking each of our partners to take 5 minutes today, tomorrow, and Sunday, to pray for us. Pray for this crusade, pray for this region to see a breakthrough, pray for the people to not be scared of the witchcraft and death threats, pray for sickness to be healed, pray for the enemy attack plans to dissolve, and pray for the blood of Jesus to cancel every demonic assignment.
We are hearing eerie reports of the depths of the voodoo here. All major leaders of the city are practicing witches, the chief witchdoctor lives minutes from the crusade site, their open practices of blood sacrifice are alarming, and we are hearing reports of religious leaders asking witchdoctors to provide protection and covering for them blatantly inviting demons and doctrines of demons into their pulpits out of fear.
With all of this corruption and fear, you can bet why I’m so excited to here in Haiti. We expect to see Jesus bring victory to many, to set key leaders free from their spells, and to watch the hand of God overpower this deception. Please pray us through right now! We need it!
