Our Hope is in Jesus!

Welcome to the launch of our brand new devotional series! In the fourth segment of this international series, Evangelist Caleb Wampler joins you from South Asia!

Greetings from South Asia! God is doing some amazing things here where the people are hungry and thirsty for the move of God. There has never before been a Christian event in this area, and we are excited to share the love of Christ. We have witnessed numerous miracles even starting from the first day!

In our world today, we are in the midst of so many challenges. There are numerous diseases spreading all around us, specifically the coronavirus (covid-19). This can cause great fear within us. However, we need to remember that God is all-powerful and that one touch from God is good enough to heal and pay for all prices. Our hope needs to be in Jesus. When it is not, we lose our trust in God and ability to realize and understand that He is good. We need to remember that God is for us and not against us.

During this time, I think about David and Goliath in the Bible. David faces the giant with God on his side. Goliath faces us today! Yet, God is bigger than those things. God cancels out every assignment of the enemy against your life, if we turn to Him and allow Him to!

Colossians 1:26-29 says, “26 There is a divine mystery—a secret surprise that has been concealed from the world for generations, but now it’s being revealed, unfolded and manifested for every holy believer to experience. 27 Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery Our of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it! 28–29 Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ.”

Jesus lives in you! God chooses to house in every person a treasure chest that is made of hope. Every person houses a hope chest that is the manifestation of the glory and presence of God. Without hope, the glory of God is not able to be contained in every believer because when we lose hope, we lose the ability to carry the glory of God. When we are hopeless, we have lost the ability to understand that Jesus anchors all hope. Without hope in Jesus, we have no hope. While we have a pandemic going on, we need to put our trust in Jesus because he is bigger, stronger and higher.

Romans 15:13 says, “may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” God desires to fill you in abundance until you radiate hope. Just like the mood of the room can change when someone walks in with joy, happiness, or sadness, what if we can change the atmosphere of a room with hope?

When we place our hope in Jesus, we cannot be shaken when everything around us shakes. We need to preach the message of Jesus because the manifestation of hope is the glory of God. Hope is the message of Jesus Christ. I pray that you remember that Jesus is with you in all situations whether you are walking through the lowest of lows or the highest of highs.
