Officers Storm Crusade | 8,000 Saved

Evangelist Wampler was preaching the gospel in a location in South Asia, which cannot be named for security reasons, and a battalion of police and security officers marched in.  There were 15 to be exact.  As a foreigner, it’s not exactly legal to preach the gospel in this region of the world.  While he was ministering, many guys with AK-47s marched toward the platform.  In that moment, Evangelist Wampler had a decision to make.  He decided to skip to the end of his message and cast the nets for salvation.  In that moment, 8,000 people stood to give their lives to Jesus, one of the most amazing and supernatural miracles that he had seen to date.

In that moment, Evangelist Wampler feared for his own life, as many of us would as well, but he realized later on that an even greater miracle took place.  In that moment, in what could have meant death, 8,000 people stood to their feet to give their lives to Christ!  8,000 miracles took place that night!  It turns out that Evangelist Wampler was actually saved himself as the police came on the platform.  The chief of police in that region, gave his life to Jesus that night!

In the coming moments, Evangelist Wampler prayed for the Holy Spirit to sweep through the tent like a wind.  In that moment, there was an audible wind that flowed through the enclosed tent.  It was also one of the most supernatural miracles he had seen to date.  Right then, many people were filled with the baptism in the Holy Spirit, they began to speak in other tongues, others had visions of Jesus, and still others saw angels flying in the tent.  People dropped to the ground as demons fled one by one, and people were filled with the Holy Spirit.

When Evangelist Wampler returned to his room that night, he had an email from an intercessory prayer warrior.  The exact moment that he faced uncertain death, he received an email from an intercessory prayer warrior that said, “I felt like I was supposed to pray for you at this exact moment.”  When Evangelist Wampler traced the time back, it was the exact moment that his life was on the line, as well as the lives of the 8,000 people.

It was the power of intercession and prayer that saved all of their lives in the natural, but more importantly, in the eternal.  Are we willing to put our lives on the line for the sake of the gospel?  When God is for us, who can be against us?
